Nine of the QRT2 entrants have previously appeared in the BCL Regular Season, including VEF Riga, Promitheas, Benfica, Opava, Würzburg, RASTA Vechta, Rio Breogan, Manisa and Kolossos. Benfica also have previous experience of winning a BCL Qualification Round Tournament.
